The Y LIFT® is based on the notion that youthful facial contours are shaped like the letter 'Y'. If you were to superimpose two 'Y's over the face you would see that one appears wide at the top, spanning the eye & cheekbone region, while the second spans the scope of the jawline. Both 'Y's narrow down to a point culminating at the chin.
As we age, the foundation of the face (such as the bone) loses volume and causes the arms of these 'Y's to steadily collapse inward due to loss of volume. The consequence of the loss of hard tissue results in drooping and sagging of the soft tissue - creating jowls, a sagging or droopy upper neck and marionette lines around the mouth.

How the Y LIFT® Is Performed
A specialized blunt titanium instrument is inserted beneath the skin and muscle. The muscles are lifted by the instrument and FDA-approved hyaluronic acid fillers are then injected to hold the muscle in its newly elevated place. The strength of the muscle maintains the filler in place and gives lift and prevents sagging. The face is then sculpted by hand. Filler is not injected into the skin and there is no use of needles like in regular filler injections.
The Y LIFT® is performed under local anesthetic. Results of the Y LIFT® typically last 2 - 4 years.

HOW
CLOSED FACELIFT™
A patented blunt titanium cannula is inserted beneath the skin and muscle, creating a pocket between the soft and hard tissues. An FDA and Y LIFT® approved hyaluronic acid-based filler† is then injected into this pocket and is sealed within it. This imitates the lost bone and in turn lifts the soft tissues up, returning them to their youthful, taut position, preventing sagging and promoting longevity.
